This old coaching inn rests on the border with the Peak District National Park, just 5 miles from the centre of Sheffield. The Norfolk Arms Hotel dates from 1805, now offers en suite bedrooms with superior dining, conference and function facilities. The hotel, however, has retained its original charm and character. Standing in picturesque countryside, the hotel offers a central base from which to explore the area's numerous attractions. Sheffield's business, retail and recreational facilities are only a few minutes' drive away.
Pull on your boots and head off up the lane and within minutes you're in the Peak National Park. The walking is endless, the scenery breathtaking. A short drive will take you to the Chatsworth estate, home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, where you can visit the house, gardens and farm shop; a fabulous family day out. You could also visit the market town of Bakewell and try their famous puddings.
Visit the Caverns in Castleton and treat yourself to some 'Blue John' stone, mined only in this village. If you need some retail therapy, we have the Meadowhall shopping complex. For something more energetic, try the dry ski slope at the Sheffield Ski Village. Other attractions include the Winter and Botanical Gardens and the many galleries and museums in the city, including the Kelham Island Industrial Museum which showcases Sheffield's heritage and the new Millennium Galleries.
