The Old Mill provides delightful, comfortable en-suite accommodation in what used to be the Stables to Wern Water Mill in the conservation area hamlet of Melin-y-Wern near the very attractive village of Nannerch near Mold.
Owners Susan and Neil Evans have converted the building to provide six en-suite rooms comprising ground and first floor accommodation with flexible bed arrangements to suit between one and three people (four with a folding occasional bed) with twin and double beds available. The bedrooms are complemented by a residents´ lounge and conservatory style light and airy breakfast room. Using the old stable entrances, some bedrooms have their own private external entrances. A particular feature is the well stocked tourism brochure room which contains details of the many attractions throughout North Wales and includes walking maps and guides. The Old Mill is located on the route of the Flintshire Leisure Drive, booklets for which are supplied in all bedrooms.
Co-located with The Old Mill are the original Wern Mill (now a private house) with its water wheel still in situ and the delightful Cherry Pie Inn and Restaurant with which the Old Mill has a close working association.
There are many short walks which can be taken directly from The Old Mill, each bedroom is equipped with a laminated map and full directions.
The location of The Old Mill is convenient for beautiful Roman City of Chester, Conwy Castle, Llangollen, Llandudno, Betws-y-Coed and the North Wales Coast . On the day of arrival, checking in is available between 2.30p.m. and 10.00p.m.
