National Trust for Scotland
This attractive apartment on the second floor overlooks the same tranquil courtyard as our Gladstone Flat. It was one of three designed by renouwned architect Sir Frank Mears, and is named after Helen Harrison, whose donation in 1934 allowed the Trust to restore this historically important site. The flats were originally intended for elderly people of limited means, chosen by Miss Harrison - the first tenant paid a weekly rent of four shillings six pence.
The flat is on the second floor of the building, and has intriguing views out on to a typical Old Town courtyard. Users will enjoy the benefits of a very central location and numerous attractions on your doorstep.
Facilities: Flat sleeps 2. One twin bedroom, sitting room with gas fire, kitchen and bathroom with bath only.
