Peace
This is life at Rumleigh Farm on the unspoilt Bere Peninsular, right on the border of west Devon, looking across the Tamar River into Cornwall.
A little slice of heaven
Rumleigh is far enough away from it all, to be able to relax, but not so remote that a trip to the shops or pub is a marathon. And, being on the border of Devon and Cornwall makes it an ideal location for a base to explore both.
We sometimes forget living here, that just because we hop in our river boat and pop down the Tamar for five minutes for lunch at the pub at Calstock in Cornwall, that everyone understands that cars are really not the only mode of transport. In fact boats, horses, cycles, and walking are often the preferred way here.
Of course you need your car to get you the 15 minutes it takes to get deep into the Dartmoor National Park or, to head, loaded up, to the beaches of either the north and south coast.
