The Alexander Guest House is located about 1 mile from the centre of Edinburgh in an area of elegant Victorian villas and terraced houses. You can stroll from the house to Arthur Seat through Holyrood Park, stopping at Dynamic Earth and Holyrood Palace for very different experiences or catch the frequent buses to the main stops for most visitors to Edinburgh, the Royal Mile, Edinbrugh Castle, Holyrood Palace or Princes Street shops and gardens.
If you feel like walking just follow the main road to Princes St passing shops of all descriptions, bars and restaurant and of course the Edinburgh Festival Theatre.
Facilities: We have single, twin, double or family rooms to choose from.
Most of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and all are fully equipped with colour televisions including cable, a tea and coffee hospitality tray, hairdryers, irons etc. if there is anything else you would like, don’t hesitate to ask.
Every care has been taken to look after the little details to ensure you have a comfortable and memorable stay.
A full Scottish breakfast is served in our exquisite dining room that has a wonderful period plastered ceiling and cornice and very large bay windows which makes for a perfect start to the day.
