The Thatched Cottage, a
Four Star, Grade II listed building built in the 15thC and set in the beautiful Mendip countryside. The building has been fully renovated with a minimalist style and light, airy rooms. Our rooms feature new oak floors, and have bathrooms with Italian slate tiling. We also serve delicious home cooked food in our restaurant, which was awarded an AA rosette in January 2007.
Ideally situated, we are close to many of the local attractions. The Bath & West Showground is less than 2 miles away, and Wells Cathedral City, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge and Castle Carey station are all less than 10 miles away. If travelling further afield, we are 18 miles from Bath and 20 from Bristol. Of course there are also the numerous walks around the Mendip countryside right on our doorstep.
