The Inn is located in the village of Dolton which is situated approximately in the centre of the county of Devon. The village, like most of the villages nearby, has its origin dating back through many centuries. The village lies in a valley just north of the River Torridge with Dartmoor to the south and Exmoor to the north.
The Inn dates back to somewhere between the 12th and 15thC. The building has largely retained it's original character with huge old fireplaces, bread ovens and pot stands. Although maintaining its original character many essential facilities have been added. The Inn has a delightful restaurant and bar area and the guest accommodation comprises of 6 bedrooms, each with a shower or bath and toilets, colour television with satellite, central heating, direct dial telephones and tea and coffee making facilities.
