Potters Mooring was formerly a sea captains residence and dates from 1625 when Shaldon was a small fishing community. Today Potters Mooring now benefits from being AA 4 star rated and has been lovingly refurbished to the highest standards whilst retaining it's quiet charm and historic appeal.

Whilst all but one room enjoy en-suite facilities, if you book early you could choose our large family room with sea view or our quaint courtyard cottage which is ideal for families or friends.

Potters Mooring occupies an enviable position overlooking the village bowling green, surrounded by elegant houses and picturesque cottages, only yards from the mouth of the River Teign and surrounding beaches. Across the river is the busy Victorian town of Teignmouth which can be reached by the famous passenger ferrys. Open all year round 365 days of the year. Why not book a special Christmas 4 day break.
