The Cricketer´s Arms is probably unique in the area of North West Essex where it is to be found overlooking a beautifully kept Cricket green. The external rather forbidding Victorian facade masks an original Elizabethan terrace of timber framed cottages, to which the current owners have added a substanstantial extension.
Facilities: Seven of the en-suite rooms are at the rear of the building, surrounding a lawn with two mature trees. Each is fully equipped with own television, telephone, trouser press, hair dryer, and of course coffee and tea making facilities. Two of the rooms have both double and single beds but are still spacious enough to allow for a folding bed and a cot, giving excellent family accommodation. The other three rooms are at the front of the building overlooking the cricket green, one of these is fitted with a four poster bed, and the bathroom features a double jacuzzi.
