International House is an English language school offering a combination of self-catering accommodation with an English language course. Centrally located close to Newcastle city centre, International House is an excellent base for visiting this thriving cultural city whilst undertaking an English language course.
The language school is located in the centre of the lively university city of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne close to
theatres, galleries, museums, restaurants, night-clubs and pubs as well as relaxing gardens and parks. The city has a world-famous reputation for friendliness and fun and was recently voted one of the ten most exciting cities for nightlife in the world!
Accommodation for students is based in city-centre self-catering apartments at Charlotte House, which is located only a 3-minute walk from the school. Charlotte House is also very convenient for all city-centre attractions.

English Language CoursesGeneral English classes include grammar, reading, writing, and speaking exercises for students at all levels ranging from complete beginner to higher advanced. The Academic Director will assess each student on their first day by means of a written placement test and an oral interview. Progress in learning English is monitored by continuous assessment from the English language teacher, tutorials and internal tests. All students will receive a weekly work plan from their teachers and personal tutorials will take place on a regular basis.
All courses & accommodation are on a 7 day basis starting on a Sunday. Prices shown are weekly and more than 1 week can be booked.
