Our names are Stuart & Ann Whitehead and we want to share with you our family home for B&B and Primrose Cottage (self-catering) which is within Huntshaw Barton grounds. Huntshaw Barton is an historic 14 century farmhouse set in beautiful North Devon countryside, surrounded by outstanding views. We offer a warm welcome, tranquility and relaxation.
We are close to Barnstaple & Bideford and the Civil War town of Great Torrington.The Tarka Trail, RHS Rosemoor, Arlington Court, Hartland Abbey, Marwood Hill & many more beautiful gardens. Westward Ho! & Instow are 15 minutes away. A visit to the historic village of Clovelly is a wonderful experience. Take a day cruise to Lundy Island & you could see breeding puffins & seabirds, basking sharks & seals.
B&B (open all year)Breakfasts with fresh fruit, cereals, fruit juice & yogurts and of course the Full English, using local produce when available & free range eggs from our own hens.
Evening Meals, all freshly cooked to order, are available at (extra charge) & 24 hours notice.
Well behaved pets are welcome.
Off road. parking. Sorry but we do not take B&B bookings for children. They are welcome in Primrose Cottage.
Primrose Cottage Self CateringPrimrose Cottage was a dilapidated 200 year old barn lovingly restored by us. It is set within the grounds of Huntshaw Barton. It was awarded **** by Visit Britain in 2006.
There is a double room and a twin bedded room, bathroom with bath & shower attachment. The kitchen has a microwave, toaster, oven, fridge & freezer. The dining area has a table & four chairs, There are steps down to the lounge which has a 2 sofas, TV/ DVD player. We supply all bed linen & bath towels.
