Dating back to the early 18th Century, Elen's Castle Hotel is a very comfortable, privately-run family hotel that
retains much of its original historic character. In the village of Dolwyddelan close to Betws-y-Coed in North Wales, it is the perfect place to eat well, sleep well and experience the best of Snowdonia.
Just five miles from the tourist-packed town of Betws-y-Coed, the village of Dolwyddelan features a
castle that commands awesome panoramas and breathtaking views from the battlements. There is easy access to mountain walking, several of north Wales spectacular castles and attractions including Sygun copper mine and Portmeirion Italianate village. For the more energetic,
mountain biking, horse riding and fishing are available nearby.
Retaining its original character and many fittings, Elens Castle Hotel has guest rooms to suit all tastes including four-poster rooms overlooking the Lledr Valley and River. All rooms are en-suite and we have
four poster bedrooms for a little more luxury. Dine in our intimate restaurant - a mouth-watering, delicious, home-cooked eating experience in an informal and friendly atmosphere - and afterwards, enjoy a drink by the wood burning stove in our cosy historic bar.
Elen's Castle Hotel provides family-friendly accommodation. Pets are welcome. The hotel is entirely non-smoking.
