Gwynfor and Deborah warmly welcome you to sample the delights of their secluded Edwardian country home set in peaceful countryside in the Snowdonia National Park – an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Gwrach Ynys is situated in a splendid location nestled between the Rhinog mountains and the sandy beaches of Cambrian Bay. The house is surrounded by an acre of lawned gardens with mature trees from where on a clear day guest can enjoy panoramic views from mount Snowdon in the north to Harlech castle perched high on it’s outcrop of rock 2 miles to the south.

Accommodation
The house is roomy and spacious whilst also being a real home from home. Guest have a choice of two lounges to relax and unwind. A wide selection of books and magazines are available, as well as files of information about local attractions and walks to make sure you make the best use of your stay with us.
All six bedrooms are en-suite and are tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. From each bedroom guest can enjoy rural views over the garden to the hills beyond. Guest comfort is of prime important and each bedroom is well appointed with, colour TV, tea making facilities, hair dryers and clock radio plus other little extras.
Plenty to do
Gwrach Ynys is the ideal base for touring and exploring the wonders of Snowdonia and North Wales – only an hour’s journey by car is the Lleyn Peninsula, Anglesey, Caernarfon, Betws y Coed, Bala, Dolgellau, but guest often remark on the diversity of attractions on our doorstep. At Harlech, the spectacularly sited Castle is certainly worth a visit. Golfers are well catered for at the Royal St. David’s Golf Club, the beach is a haven with its three miles of golden sands. Visit the Italiante village of Portmeirion, take a ride on the Ffestiniog railway, or explore the surrounding countryside - a paradise for nature lovers and walkers. Dozens of footpath criss cross the area offering a multitude of walks stiff climbs to gentle rambles, coastal stroll to woodland trails, something to suite all tastes, the choice is endless.
