The Abbey Hotel sits in a prime location on the side of the beautiful Wye Valley, overlooking the ruins of the famous Tintern Abbey.
Parts of the hotel date back to 1206 when it was inside the original precinct wall of the Abbey, and some remaining arches in the Hotel have the same aspects as can be seen in the Abbey ruins.
