Burghley House and Rockingham Castle along with many other heritage attractions are within a short drive from the hotel; as is Rockingham Speedway. Golf can be arranged at South Luffenham (5 miles); Greetham (5 miles); or a 9 hole par 3 course overlooking Rutland Water. The Tap Bar has for many years proved to be a popular local meeting place serving fine real ales and bar meals; alternatively there is the comfortable Brasserie lounge serving full meals and bar service. Both these areas have tremendous atmosphere in the winter evenings with their log fires blazing away. The elegant Garden Terrace Restaurant offers the attractions of fine food and winesin delightful surroundings; making it a popular eating place for hotel guests and non-residents. During the summer months the beautifully cared for gardens at the rear of the hotel provide an excellent setting for both meals or just relaxing over drinks.
