Even nearer to hand you'll find the Chulmleigh Golf Course; Bold Try Riding Stables; and Devon Art Courses at Newlane Cottage; Wembworthy. Chulmleigh makes a good base for touring all parts of Devon; and these local facilities make 'The Old Bakehouse' ideal for golfing; riding and art breaks at any time of year. We are pleased to welcome cyclists exploring the National Cycle Network and can safely store a number of cycles without difficulty.The house was built in about 1520 and is reputed to be the most ancient building in Chulmleigh. We welcome you; our guests; from near and far; into our beautiful house: our aim is to make you feel totally at home; whether you stay for many days or just a short break.
