The Black Bull Hotel is a 17th Century Coaching Inn standing in the main street of Wooler. It still retains much of its original character and is situated in one of the most picturesque parts of Northumberland. It is a wonderful base for walking, riding, golf and fishing. Also, the sandy beaches and popular towns of Berwick upon Tweed and Aldwick are half an hours drive away.
The hotel is fully licensed and serves good homemade food, every lunchtime and evening, in the restaurant or in the bar areas.
All single rooms have en-suite facilities. The bedrooms have hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities and satellite TV.
The hotel is an ideal venue for any special functions. We are happy to host your private parties, weddings, meetings or any other special occasions.
The function room is available at no charge when using our refreshments and we are happy to meet your catering requirements. The function room also contains its own bar and lounge area.
The hotel also contains a stable bar toward the rear. The stable bar is the venue for our Friday and Saturday night disco which runs throughout the year.
