Welcome to The Thatched Cottage; a Four Star; Grade II listed building built in the 16th C and set in the beautiful Mendip countryside. The building has been fully renovated with a minimalist style and light; airy rooms. Our rooms feature new oak floors; and have bathrooms with Italian slate tiling and power showers. We also serve delicious home cooked food in our restaurant; which was awarded an AA rosette in January 2007.Ideally situated; we are close to many of the local attractions. The Bath & West Showground and Mendip Golf Club are less than 2 miles away. Wells Cathedral City; Longleat; Cheddar Gorge; Wincanton Race Course and Castle Carey station are all less than 10 miles away. If travelling further afield; we are 18 miles from Bath and 20 from Bristol.
