TAP now operating from Heathrow T1
3 September 2009
TAP is now operating from the revamped Terminal 1 at Heathrow Airport in London, as part of the Star Alliance “Move under one Roof” project designed to offer Alliance passengers greater ease and more options via use of common spaces at major world airports.
With more space now available at Heathrow Terminal 1, Star Alliance is preparing to implement another phase of its “Move under one Roof” strategy. Passengers who fly with TAP can rely on a very substantial improvement in their travel experience.
The renewed common Star Alliance check-in area now accepts TAP passengers, Austrian, Croatia Airlines, Lufthansa and LOT Polish Airlines. After checking-in, passengers have access to dedicate checkpoints behind this area in addition to fast x-ray channels for Premium Customers.
With a Star Alliance lounge for First Class and Business Class customers and two bmi lounges – one for passengers on domestic flights and another for international flights – Heathrow Airport now offers Star Alliance customers a diversified choice of lounges.
TAP currently runs a total of 44 flights a week from Lisbon and Porto to London Heathrow. On May 27, TAP commemorated 60 years of its first flight between Lisbon and London.
