Red nose job taken to new heights!
3 September 2009
The UK’s biggest (Red) Nose job has been revealed on the body of a new-look 757. First Choice Airways uncovered its updated livery at Luton Airport as part of its partnership with Comic Relief.
Speckled with spots and complete with shiny red nose, the aircraft will be making its first passenger flights from Manchester to Tenerife today, Friday, followed by London Gatwick to Grenoble on Saturday ; it will then go on to fly thousands of customers to their holiday destinations between now and Red Nose Day on 16th March. It’s one of two spot-tacular planes First Choice Airlines has given a big Comic Relief make-over and helping to take fundraising to new heights!
Red Nose wearing cabin crew on-board all First Choice Airways flights in March will be encouraging passengers to dig deep, while on short and mid-haul flights, passengers will be shown a series of comedy sketches from previous Red Nose Days. All the money raised will go to Comic Relief and helping the vulnerable people in the UK and Africa it supports.
The company is also planning a number of activities nationwide:
First Choice Holiday Hypermarkets and Travel Shops have been given a Red Nose Day makeover designed to encourage passers by to come in and donate through the shops’ Foreign Exchange desks. Each shop will also be organising its own local fund-raising events.
Selected hotels overseas and UK based office staff will be holding events to generate awareness and money for Comic Relief. Marketing activity including an email campaign and ‘welcome home’ mailings will be Red Nose Day themed and ticket books and luggage labels will become part of the campaign.
