Featuring Icelandic and International music, Airwaves is a highlight on any partygoer’s calendar.

As the city prepares for the number one festival of the year, the national low-cost carrier, Iceland Express presents unbeatable fares from £69.00 per person, making October the month for a Reykjavik city break.

Bands including CSS, Vampire Weekend, Biffy Clyro, The Young Knives and White Denim will descend upon Reykjavik for the four-day event.

The artists will be playing in a diverse range of venues including a former shipping warehouse which is home to the Reykjavik Art Museum. The city’s official ‘sleazy’ rock dive Gaukurinn is also hosting an event, as is the charming old theatre Idno and of course The Blue Lagoon.

The colourful and vibrant city of Reykjavik is a major magnet attracting visitors looking for a chic city break.
