Curtain up for Virgin Atlantic passengers
3 September 2009
Virgin Atlantic has announced that it is introducing a new programme ‘Curtain Up!’ to its inflight entertainment system onboard flights in June. ‘Curtain Up!’ showcases the best shows in London’s West End, helping passengers decide on what shows to see when staying in the city.
If passengers decide they wish to see any of the featured productions, or would like further advice on which shows to see, they can contact the programme’s content providers TotallyTheatre.com for more information and ticket booking.
Lysette Gauna, Creative Director for Virgin Atlantic commented:
"Curtain Up! will be available on all Virgin Atlantic flights worldwide, and means that passengers will be able to find out everything they need to know before deciding to see a show. Then, once they’ve landed, they’ll also have been given an easy route to buy tickets for the show of their choice.
"Curtain Up!’ is updated each month and runs for approximately 15 minutes, with three to four minutes devoted to each theatre show. It is a self-contained entertainment programme, featuring filmed highlights, behind the scenes footage, interviews with cast members and production people, in addition to theatre experts explaining what the shows are about and offering their own views."
