3 September 2009
On the 10th of November Air Astana opened its own sales and customer information office situated on Fumanova Street, Almaty. The opening event was marked by a ribbon cut ceremony, a lottery for all guests and an art exhibition by under privilege children of Almaty Oblast.
Air Astana’s implementation of 100% e-tickets and the implementation of E-BSP-Kazakhstan has completely changed and simplified the distribution model, enabling the airline to set up its own sales outlets. In accordance with BSP international standards of IATA, airline sales can be made through a wide range of IATA accredited agents, in addition to the airline’s own sales and information outlets, which will not only offer a range of services to walk-in customers but will also, provide technical support to agents.
Passengers will be able to obtain professional advice on booking, ticketing, changing flight details etc., and most importantly they can buy tickets directly from the airline. The new sales office is a big advantage for our passengers and partners.
Peter Foster, President of Air Astana JSC commented “Opening of the sales office will further enhance the airline's current customer experience. In addition, a twenty-four hour call center will soon be opened to serve our passengers in Kazakhstan. We aim to be a one-stop shop for our valuable passengers by offering a range of services from finding information on luggage, Nomad club, flight information to name a few. We believe with such an offering, we will offer our passengers an excellent customer experience in accordance with international standards.”
The sales office will operate 24 hours, 7 days a week. Passengers will be able to take advantage of these services in both urban and airport offices. Offices in Astana and Atyrau are also planned for the coming months. In 2009, the airline plans to open airport sales offices to all destinations served within Kazakhstan.
