The safe bathing beach with its famous Banjo Pier is only five minutes walk away via the quaint streets of the old town or along the fascinating harbour.

The Old Malt House is listed with the A.A as a three star Bed and Breakfast and is situated in West Looe just at the bottom of West Looe Hill in close proximity to the harbour and the various pubs and restaurants that are situated on the harbour front. East Looe is just a short walk away across the historically famous bridge, or ferry ride in season, where you will find numerous shops, restaurants, bistro's and pubs and of course a lovely sandy beach. Many people stop in Looe on their way around the costal path and there are some lovely walks and secluded coves to be discovered just around the corner. Looe also has excellent transport links with its own railway station and easy access to Plymouth by bus or car.

Down Ende Country House is situated in the beautiful Cornish countryside; just a few miles from the charming fishing villages of Looe and Polperro. The house was built in the 1930's and stands in two acres of lawns and gardens. The front gardens are laid to lawn; with many local varieties of trees and shrubs. At the rear is the car parking area and the main entrance. A family run business; managed by your hosts - Teresa & Andy Greenaway. We take pride in the high standards of service and accommodation they provide; always willing to offer advice on what to see and where to go it is easy to see why so many people arrive as guests and return as friends. Ideally situated only a few miles from the A38 near Liskeard; this is the main road into Cornwall on the South coast; St Austell 40mins; Newquay 60mins; Lands End 90mins depending on traffic.We have a lovely front garden; where you may take a stroll; or just relax on the patio.
