We are ideally located for a number of attractions in the area 2 miles or less from Exeter airport, Crealy Adventure Park, West Point Exhibition Centre, Friends Provident and DEFRA. A little further away you will find Exmouth beach (6 miles) and Exeter University (7 miles).

Higher Rixdale Farm is the ideal base for a stay in Devon, located just 10 miles south of the cathedral and university city of Exeter, 25 miles from historic Plymouth and within close proximity of Teignmouth, Dawlish, Torquay, Paignton and Dartmoor.  In the immediate area there is golf, sandy beaches, walking, cycling, horse riding, tennis and river trips, to name but a few local activities. There is an abundance of wildlife on the property. Wild deer can be seen grazing and hares race across the meadows. The farm is situated in one of the best areas for bird watching, with some quite rare birds including the Woodlark and Dartford Warbler. The farm also includes a site of special scientific interest where some very special plant species including Sweet Gale, Sundews and Orchids can be found. Also on the farm are hut circles and burial sites which date back 4000 years.At the end of our lane, The Elizabethan Inn offers wonderful food, real ales, quality wine and local cider.
